Gil abandoned the team. Mike left too due to labor issues. Rey didn't return because of his knee injury. The returning players: Chendo (15th season), Armando (11th), Juanillo (11th), Barbosa (11th), Jorge (9th), Morro (6th), Eligio (3rd), and Beto (3rd). We also had three rookies making their debut with the team: Gustavo, Homero, and Alejandro. Among these three young people, Gustavo, better known as Chore, became one of the most pleasent surprises as he really showed the talent and the heart to be part of this team. Roger (13th) rejoined the team in the middle of the season after a 14-month absence due to his torn achilles tendon surgery.

What a season. We played very consistently all season through, however, we lost the matches against the Prolintec, Mitras, and Cumbres power houses, some of them very closely. We played at great level, and got better as the season reached the final stage. At that time, though, we had lost Juanillo and Barbosa due to a trip, and Homero and Chendo, due to an injury. We managed to finish up in third place (earning the corresponding trophy), and with the best defense (adding another trophy to the collection) to make it to the semi-finals. At the semi-final, we met arch-rival Cumbres, and beat them in a very exciting and dramatic match. Of course, if we wanted the title, we had to pass the Prolintec test, and beat the defending champion and first place squad. And oh boy we did!! We save our best match in many years for the final and playing at superb levels, and of course, with heart and soul, we astonished the defening champ and got the cup, again, for sixth time in our history, and for the first time in 10 years. We were all excited, and shared that moment with all our fans in the stands. That really meant a lot to all of us, beacuse somehow it showed us maybe we were not that old after all.
