This was the first time that a Cup Tournament was held at
U.D.A. We were just so hot from last season and we just kept
on rolling. For this tournament only, we had the addition of
Mario Montante (Mayito) a friend from FCFM. The games
were very exciting, resulting in real thrillers.
We grabbed our second title in less than a month,
and our 4th trophy (two 3rd-Place). For the League Season, with practically the same team from last season, we started out with a lot of hope: Armando (7th season), Roger (7th season), Chendo (6th season), Jorge (6th season), Barbosa (5th season), Lucio (5th season), Juan (2nd season), and Martín (2nd season). Later in the season, we had the return of Gil (6th season), who had been working out of town since last December, and José Luis (Pepe), Juan's friend from his soccer team, making his debut as our new goalkeeper. After dropping the first two games against arch-rivals Econopartes and Linda Vista, we got our act together and did not lose any other match for 12 games in a row. We played really great, and every match of the season was very tough. We finished the regular season in 1st place for the first time ever, and were ready to defend our title. Martín left the team towards the end of the season. That was not going to be easy of course. We met Atlante in the semi-finals, a team that had just beaten the crap out of us a week before. The match was so intense, so well played by both squads that none deserved to die. Dínamo was in their way to make history and came up with the victory. Econopartes, again, was in our fate. A tough match in the first half that broke open in the second thanks to our superb squad. Dínamo grabbed its third title in a row and had another Olympic lap in front of the crowd between tears and laughs. Forza Dínamo!!
