Comments: We started our Viajes Kino era with a rennovated team, a new attitude, a new sponsor, and our first uniforms. Competition was tough. We struggled at the beginning of the season, but then started to play really well. We were close to earn our first trophy, but lost the final match. Nonetheless, we started to look like a real team. We were revenge-thirsty and couldn't wait to start the new season. Viajes Kino had been born.

Comments: What a season. Lots of exciting games. In the playoff we had a heart-breaker against Linda Vista. We blew a 2-1 lead with two very suspicious goals, both in injury time. Nonetheless, we won our first two clásicos by beating archi-rival Bayer Munich twice, and our first two trophies as our center forward, Fernando Guerra, top all scorers.

Comments: It was a good season. We let the trophy go in the last match, when we lost in another Nogalar clasico against Real Madrid. On April 9, in the game against C. D. Las Flores, Juanillo made his debut with a team. What a player and what a true friend he would turn out to be.

Comments: This was a great season. Even though we finished short of earning a trophy, we had such great matches against top-notch squads. Like the opening game against powerhouse Nueva Madero, who was a team trained by ex-pro player Milo Cruz. It was an unforgettable and spectacular 3-3 draw. We also beat Brasil, in the 4th edition of the Nogalar clasico, which continues to pach the house and bring all the barrio crowd to such event.

Comments: We decided to try new horizons, and signed up our team in the Fundidora League. The fields were in terrific condition and very close to our neighborhood. There were pretty good teams too. We pull together a very tough side and played extremelly well. We arrived at the semi-final having lost a single match (by forfeit). We even had our revengeful moment when we beat archi-rival Santos de la Madero (who would eventually become the league champion). But unfortunately, Tobi, our sensational goalkeeper, got terribly sick and was unable to go. So Fernando, our leading scorer. had to take over, and we lost a lot of our effensive power. The match was as dramatic as exciting, and, at the end saw our championship hopes go away. We still won the Third Place match to earn our third trophy.

Comments: We were very thrilled to make our debut in the open-age divisions. Most of us were 18 so we decided to go for all the marbles. Our team was still playing in the youth divisions, which was on Saturdays. We started at Division 2 at the Hispano League, on Sundays. Most of this team (about 70%) was based on our young force. However, we also got some good "veterans" to reinforce the team. We had a terrific season. The challenge was great, and we just fall a bit short of the top. In this season, we also had one of the most fantastic exhibitions I could ever remember when, playing with 3 men short, we beat Liverpool Trevino (a very good team) 5-4. That game is just unforgettable. We won, by the way, another Third Place trophy, the fourth one in our collection, and finished as the Top Offense in the league (our duo Fernanod Guerra-Juan Argueta started to make history).

Comments: Several members of our team were chosen to represent the Hispano League in the Nuevo Leon qualifier round of the Benito Juarez National Tournament. This, and playing simultaneously in Division 2 on Sundays, left our team very short handed. So we just decided to abandon the this tournament since the league did not give us any support to reschedule our games. This was by the way, the fare-well season from the youth divisions (the limit was 18 in those years).

Comments: Again, our participation in the Benito Juarez Tournament really messed up our season. We didn't play any match for a very long perid towards the middle of the season, and we just didn't finsih it either. We were very upset with the officials of the Hispano League and decided to abandon the league for good.

Comments: Our move to this new league, FOOJ, was excellent. After a couple of seasons playing in division 2, we also took the challenge a step forward and went up to division 1, which was a sensational experience. The teams were very good, some of them even with ex-professional players. Besides, most of the fields were in very good condition, and close to home. We enjoyed it so much, we had pretty tough matches. Our first division 1 victory came in an spectacular match against Tobi's (our ex-goalkeeper) Real Cedro 4-3. We showed great quality, and even though we lost some close matches, we lived up to our expectations. We also resume the Noga clasico, when we played Atletico Milan (and lost 0-1). In the last match of the season we had our best match and beat power house, and champion, FYCASA, 1-0 in a masterful play by Juanillo almost at the end. We finished very motivated for our next season.

Comments: Our second season on Division 1 was just extraordinary. We started out in great shape. However, we had a minor let down in the middle of the season losing three straight. We beat the top two teams in our group, but was not enough to make it to the semi-finals. We did earn our 5th and 6th trophies, with the Third Place and Ferna's Top Scorer Award. In addition, our scoring machine was the best in the league.

Comments: We just kept enjoying this very much. We had great games. This season, what decided our fate was our two Clasico losses to Atletico Milan and Cd. Futuro Nogalar. We still managed to get our 7th trophy.

Comments: Bad luck. We moved to the Fundidora League (where we had a very nice experience in the past) only to learn the tragedy that the Fundidora company went bankrupt and everything was gone all of a sudden. It was very sad to see the closed fields, but it was even sadder to see all the hard-working people from that company lose their jobs. It was tough times and I really didn't care too much about our fate, but rather to what was going to happen to those people.

Comments: Then we made a terribel move (we didn't know it at that time). We started playing in the Linda Vista League, which turned out to be the worst corruption example we ever came accross. The League's President would make up faked teams so you had to pay the fees without playing. We had an incredible amount of games won by default. In addition, for the Cup Tournament, you had to pay a double fee and play onlye one game that would count for both tournaments. That was really outrageous. My friends from school, Chendo, Reynaldo, and Barbosa played this season with us, and we really pulled together an extraordinary squad. In the middle of the season, we reached one of our most glorious moments when we conquered the Cup in a very exciting match. We finished the regular season with only one loss, and madeit to the round of 6 playoff. Unfortunately, we had our worst game right in the playoff and our search for the League title was over. It was a great season, though. The Cup title was the 8th trophy in our collection.

Comments: And then, our last season. We really struggled a lot. Several players left the team, and the ones that came did not show the love for our casaca. In our 5th game, one of our players got involved in a brawl, and the whole team was ejected from the league. It was obvious, the Vijaes Kino era came to an end, after 15 seasons, 5 years of great memories. We would reunite later for one season.

Comments: After three years of absence, Viajes Kino reunited for one more shot. It was good to be back with the old folks from Viajes Kino, but we didn't show in the field what it takes to play at this level. Ironically, we played our best game (and last) against mi ex-team Santa Rosa. We were just not meant to be. Personally, this was my come-back season after being out for almost a year due to the injury in my back suffered while playing with Santa Rosa. I still didn't feel great, but just couldn't keep waiting. Next stop in my future: the return to Santa Rosa.
