Comments: After Viajes Kino was over, Chendo invited me, Juanillo, Barbosa, and Reynaldo to join his team, Santa Rosa. It was one of the best experiences in my futbol life. The team was from a town called Santa Rosa, near Apodaca, Nuevo Leon, and was extremely talented, a championship-caliber squad. The league was very competitive, and our season was great. We ended up unbeaten, including a masterful 3-0 performance against powerhouse Uruguay, a squad who had several players from the UANL inter-university League. We played really great all season long. Unfortunately we lost in a dramatic and exciting overtime heart-breaker in the quarter-finals. Two weeks later, Uruguay would grab the League Title. We earned two trophies: 1st Group Place and Top League Scorer. We also had the top scoring machine and top the league in goals scored. A thrilling season, and we couldn't wait to the next one. Excellent move.

Comments: Another fantastic season. Despite of losing twice against defending league champion, Uruguay, we had an outstanding season, making it all the way to the final. The playoffs matches were all very exciting. The final was just sensational and unforgettable. We grabbed another three trophies: League's Runner-Up, Top Scorer, and Group's Second Place.

Comments: It was a good season. We lost some close, tough matches, but we also won some of those, like beating the gorup's leader, Barrio Pobre. We failed to make it to the playoffs in the last match of the season. However, "Loco" top the league's scorer's to get us another trophy.

Comments: In our fourth season with Santa Rosa, we finally reached the highest goal: A League Title. It wasn't easy. After losing the first game of the season against C.D. Nova, we got it going and ended the season playing terrific. The playoffs were as exciting as dramatic, and the final, one to be remembered forever. At the end, our talent, heart and guts paid off. The parade in Santa Rosa's little town was just awesome.

Comments: Another unforgettable season. Again, we played all season long defending our title with great pride. After grabbing another group first place, and top scorer trophies, we were eliminated in the quarter-finals in one of the most spectacular, exciting, and dramatic matches ever in team history. I still can remember that game play by play, just amazing. We also had a friendly match against Italia, formed mostly by ex-Viajes Kino players like Tobi, Ferna, Pacheco, and so on. The match ended 2-2, and Itali won the penalty shoot-out.

Comments: This was probably our least successful season. We had a terribel start, losing three in a row, and , even though we improved in the rest of the season, I don't think we played to our potential. Still, we managed to play some good matches, but not enough to qualify. This was the first season we didn't get any trophy. But the worst of all was the severe injury I suffered in my low back during the match in April 30. The season was over for me and this cost me leaving the team, at least for quite a while.

Comments: After almost a year and a half of absence (due to my back injury first, and our Viajes Kino reunion later), I returned to Santa Rosa for one more season. This would be my last season with Santa Rosa for a long, long time (or maybe forever) because I was set to start my graduate studies in Austin, Texas. And it could have not been any better. We had an aoustanding season, playing great futbol, and displaying the victory-hunger attitude and the heart of a champion. Santa Rosa grabbed the league title in a very exciting and dramatic fashion. My second personal title in seven seasons with Santa Rosa. It was awesome, and kind of sad because I knew that it would take many years (if at all) to play again in this incredible team.
