Comments: Playing for my school's representative team turned out to be another extraordinary experience for me. The Intra-UANL League brings together the top players within the university, so competition was tough. Our school, FCFM, is small compared to some others that have had a great story and reputation in this kind of tournaments. In fact, in our school history, there was not much to be said in terms of achievements. But in those three years I played with them, our generation had some outstanding players and made some good things happen. This year, we didn't play bad, in fact, we made enough to legitimately qualify to the quarter-finals, over top-ranked FIME. However, the league (run by FIME and FOD officials at that time) made a very suspicious move and decided to take a different tie-breaker criteria that left us out of the race.
Our protest was to no avail and we ended up playing the consolation tournament among the 16 squads that didn't qualify. We did very well, beating on our way to the final Facultad de Medicina, in an unforgettable and exciting match. In the final, we lost 1-3 against FACPYA, where one of my good friends (from our barrio team Viajes Kino), Fernando Guerra, was playing. It was a great experience, especially those practices at 2 PM under the 40-degree San Nico's heat.

Comments: This was a bad season. Competition was tougher since we now played at the premier division. We just couldn't put it together as some of our top players from last season were unable to play and some others missed some games due to the National Mathematics Meeting. Our first game was excellent. We played against defending Premier Division Champion, Facultad de Medicina. After regulation we were leading 1-0 playing only with eight men on the field (three of them ejected by the referee) so they were all over us. The referee waited long enough to award two very dubios goals and call the game after 15 minutes of injury time. I have never had the custom of blaming the referee for anything on the field, but being honest, this time it was clear that a power house could not afford to lose against a little school such as FCFM. The rest of the season was nothing to talk too much about.

Comments: Finally, in our graduating year, we had the most successful season in school's history. We grabbed the Fourth Place trophy, but probably what we truly enjoyed was our great performance against archi-rival, top-ranked, FIME, when we beat them 5-0 at their own field in front of a packed house. And that was it, we graduated the following semester, so it was a very exciting fare-well season.
